Mrs. Garza's AP Environmental Science class performed a "Coal" Mining Lab. Students acted as Mining Engineers and simulated ore mining production using delicious chocolate chip cookies. They focused on the cost-benefit analysis of chocolate ore production throughout the simulation, which helped them understand the cost of production and the negative consequences of land destruction. What an AMAZING LESSON!
